Mimi's Birthday-Live Theater in the Park!

Here are the boys with their Mimi.  They now call her Mim, as if Mimi isn't short enough!  We are so thankful to have such a special lady in our lives.  My mom might be the kindest, most generous, creative, servant-hearted woman I know.  I'm blessed to call her mom and my boys are equally blessed to call her Mimi.  There's always time for a photo op wherever we are.....

So the kiddos played and wrestled, we took pictures and watched a wee little bit of live theater in the park while eating cupcakes and celebrating with Mimi.  It was a very good day!

Brady Bunch!

3 Crile Girls + 3 McCulley Boys = one very FUN weekend!
Our sweet friends, the Criles, came from IA for a second annual KC visit!  They made a stop at the American Girl KC store and spent the rest of the weekend with us.  It was almost too HOT to do anything outside so we spent most of the weekend in the house together.  My boys were in heaven....  they each had a playmate.  It was really cute how they all paired off very naturally!  We went to the pool and played some putt putt and just enjoyed being together.  What FUN memories! :)

Micah Jay, 15 Months

Fun Facts About our 15-Month-Old:
MICAH.....
  • calls his Daddy, "Dadn"  It's so cute how he's added an 'n' on the end of Dad!
  • is now able to go down the stairs backwards by himself
  • says Dog, Dadn, Mama
  • loves to crawl and hide
  • squawks like a little birdie when he wants something
  • has an eye for candy!  There had better be nothing sweet in sight or Micah will not eat what's healthy
  • turns around and bear crawls backwards 'down' the driveway CURB.  It is so cute..... like he's climbing down a mountain!
  • is 32.5in long (88%) and 26lbs (65%)
  • is a GREAT communicator.  He doesn't have too many words in his vocab yet but he's got some sign language and lots of grunts and points!  He knows how to get what he wants, for sure!
  • is our 'Koala Bear' as Joe and I like to call him.  He clings, I could practically be hands free and still have this cuddly bear on my hip!
  • let's you know when he's ready for bed.  When you get him in his jammies he either puts his head on your shoulder or points to the door! :)
Micah Jay Jay......  you make me happy when skies are gray!  I love you soooooo very much!

4th of July!

Driving their jeep in the neighborhood parade!

The parade ended at the park where we all got to enjoy a snow cone and see the police man/car!

Playing on the tire swing in Mimi and Poppy's backyard

Taking a break on the swing!

Enjoying some BBQ!
We had a wonderful day celebrating our independence!  We started out with our neighborhood parade followed by an afternoon BBQ at Mimi and Poppy's house, and finished the day watching fireworks with my parents and our cul-de-sac neighbors!  All 3 of the boys loved the loud booms and bright lights in the sky this year.  It was sooooo much fun! :)

First T-ball Season!

This is what summertime is made of and why I truly LOVE being a BOY MOM!  What fun it was to be on the ball field and watch these boys play.
Wyatt's very first time at bat....
He HIT....  and ran to THIRD!  It was a classic game of bloopers.  Thankfully there were as many dads on the field as boys so Wy guy was quickly directed to FIRST base! :)
It didn't take him long before he was a pro

Wyatt with his favorite buddies, Kohen and Dax!

and Wy made many trips outside the dugout to see his very favorite buddy Isaac who desperately wanted to be on the team and play t-ball too!

It was tough keeping Ike off the field.  He thought he was part of the team.  I think he could have easily been a sub....  soon enough, Isaac, soon enough!

Wyatt was honored with a medal at his end of the season pizza party!  He was one PROUD boy! :)  Good thing I snapped a photo because the medal was destroyed in about 5 mins of getting home with it!

Father's Day, 2012

We surprised Joe with a new TV for the master bathroom as his Father's Day gift.

I never thought I'd have a TV in my bathroom!  In fact, I'd be okay without a TV in the whole house.....  well maybe one for those super duper handy cartoons every once in a while when I need to get something accomplished! ;)  Yep, it's a very good privilege to be given and taken away from a certain 4-year-old who shares his daddy's passion for the flat screen.

Back to Father's Day.....  I'm convinced that the TV is one of my hubby's love languages so that's just what we surprised him with this year! :)  Wyatt did the Costco shopping with me (I admit it, I'm totally in that stage of life where I buy my wardrobe, gifts, and groceries at the one-stop-shop, COSTCO!) and was able to keep it a surprise for a whole month.  I was so proud of him.

Jojo loved his gift but felt a little unworthy of the price tag so, my once-impulsive-turned-frugal-husband took the TV back to Costco and found one at a yard sale for $20 (all the more reason why I LOVE this man!).  But it was the thought that counts....  he was definitely thought of and got a TV in the bathroom after all.  Now good luck finding time to watch it (besides the toons, of course!)  Hehe!

As it's written in blue crayon below, this man truly is the very BEST daddy in the entire world! Hands down, no one compares, no room for debate :)....  done deal, he's the very BEST daddy!
 SuperDAD

We had the privilege of spending Father's Day weekend with Joe's dad and the boys' Papa too!
SuperDAD with our snuggle bug! :)
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, my Love!!!!!!
