Up the Stairs He Goes!

Wyatt's new "job" is to hold Gabbi's leash and let her out the back door to go potty. He gets pretty fired up if we don't let him do it all by himself. So today he was apparently feeling extra independent and decided he didn't need Mommy's help at all. Without any hesitation, he followed Gabbi right on up the basement stairs like he'd done it a thousand times before. Just like that...and he's a pro at the stairs! What a difference a day can make! Now coming down is going to be another issue! I guess I'll be investing in more baby gates this weekend!!!!! :) Here are a few pics from his very 1st stair climbing experience. I told you... I've always got the camera in hand just in case!!!!!
Here I come, Gabbi...
I'm getting closer...
Almost there...
Hooray for me! Am I big stuff, or what? Let's do it again and again and again and again...!

He's a Movin' Machine!

Wyatt is ON-THE-GO NONSTOP these days! It's so much fun to watch Super Wy explore, and very exhausting at the same time trying to teach him boundaries. We've had plenty of bumps and bruises and even a bloody lip. :( Mr. Tough and Tumble doesn't stay down for long...He is a go-getter for sure. And popsicles seem to make every boo boo all better instantly!!!!
Climbing the bookshelf
Trying to let Gabbi out of her room
"Helping" me get papers out of the printer
Attempting the stairs
I have learned to creatively "trap" Wyatt in SAFE, non-destructive places (like the hallway!) just so I can get a couple things crossed off the to-do list each day.
As you can see, all of this movement still hasn't caused our chubby monkey to slim down any!
2 of my favorites about this new found freedom are: -When Wyatt follows me out of one room and into another all day long just to be close by my side. -When he follows Gabbi to the garage door when he knows Daddy is home.
