Fun With Fam!

Daxton, Ashtyn holding Isaac, and Wyatt...Cousins and very good friends! ; )

The Grissom clan DROVE all the way from KS to spend the week with us! We had so much FUN together and filled the week FULL of activity! Here's a pic of good buddies, Dax and Wy guy givin' some cheezy grins for the camera...

Here's Uncle Trent and Auntie B with the kids at the splash park...
Getting some energy out at the park!
Sisters! There's just nothing like having a sister...And I've got the best one at that! :)
The kids found a black snake at the park...
Hanging out at the Keys Baseball Game
Both boys have a passion for baseball right now!
Slurping down some milkshakes. I actually put this picture in to remind us of how many days the boys got to the breakfast table in the SAME OUTFIT... Great minds think alike, what can I say!... or they just have a Mimi who buys lots of matching clothes!
A day in DC started out with a White House Tour...
...and ended at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The changing of the guards here might have been one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Wyatt was fully engaged and bright eyed watching the guards...
We hiked a mile up hill in about 7 minutes (Wy guy got a shoulder ride from Uncle Trent while the other kiddos were back in the car snoozin' with Uncle Joe joe!) to make it for the changing of the guards, so we're looking a little bit sweaty here...
The whole crew at Great Falls, VA
The whole crew minus Isaac.
Aren't they precious?
Me and my little man at Sugarloaf Mountain
At the end of the day...
We have so many great memories from our week together! It was so FUN to all be together and see the kids really become good friends this trip! We're so grateful for your efforts to come see us and we just love you all to pieces... Missin' you already! Wyatt just thinks you went on a quick trip and are coming back very soon!!!

That's Papa.

We have these silly Dr. Seuss flashcards that have been another futile attempt to help Wyatt name his colors... Although, my creative 'testing' with play dough (Wyatt's very favorite activity right now!) has proved Wyatt to not be color-blind, just very uninterested in color! Anyway, he's got a name for every one of the silly Dr. Seuss characters. I thought Papa would get a kick out of the one that is matter-of-factly a picture of him!

Isaac is definitely a LIVELY one and is really learning to MOVE...

Father's Day

Our little men wearing their Sunday best in honor of their daddy!

Wyatt could hardly wait for Daddy to open his gift. Wy guy actually spoiled the surprise when he ran to Daddy with the package in hand yelling, "Tackle Box!"
This is Wyatt giving his daddy some love in hopes that he'd share some gummy worms with him!
So proud that he got himself a worm.
Father's Day really is all about DADDY, right? (Good thing Mommy remembered to buy 2 packages of bait!)
Finishing the day with some football stories by Wyatt... I'll upload some videos so you can hear them too!
I'm sure every other Mama would beg to differ, but I really do think that my boys have the very BEST DADDY in the entire world. I'm feeling a little outnumbered these days (and totally pampered!) by all of my boys...Life is very good and I'm so thankful for these gifts in my life that I'm so undeserving of! Thanks, Joe, for our boys and for being the kind of man that our little men will hopefully someday become...

*Side note: Our sweet Indiana friend, Abby, made the darling tie shirts for the boys... Her website is http://www.etsy.com/shop/zebraheart if any of you other 'boy moms' out there want to order a shirt for your little fellas!

Football Stories!

Note that when Wyatt says, "This guy..." he's referring to his Uncle Jay! Jay, you've got yourself one very big FAN! : )

Sugarloaf Mountain!

From the top of our street, we have the most amazing view of Sugarloaf Mountain (and 2 church steeples!). Today we decided to take a scenic drive (we're not much equipped for hiking these days) up to the top of the mountain! It was so BEAUTIFUL...

Daddy and Wyatt looking out over the mountain top... and getting a little too close to the edge of the cliff, if you ask me ; )

Wyatt trying hard to give me a "cheese"

I'm not real sure what 'setting' this is on my camera (some 2-year-old little fingers were pressing buttons on Mommy's camera) but I actually think this photo turned out pretty cool!

Wyatt spotted a LIZARD...

and scared him back into his hole...

So Wyatt sat very patiently waiting and waiting and waiting for the lizard to come back out but the stubborn lizard never obliged to Wyatt's request........ So on the ride home we heard, "Lizard go?" over and over again!

All ready for a snack!

P.S. I promise to post more pics of our Ike man once he's able to sit on his own! :)
