Happy Thanksgiving!

We've sure got a lot to be THANKFUL for this year!
Jojo and Wy guy started off the day with some fruit parfaits. Yummy!
Wyatt had fun treating the balloon as a punching bag!
Wyatt and I finishing the icing for our pumpkin cake.
Wyatt had to have a taste test! We got to spend the day with our MD family which was such a blessing. Wyatt loved cousin Emma's riding horse... What he doesn't realize is that they actually own 3 live horses in their back yard... He's gonna be so excited to meet them next time!Helping Daddy get the tree up!

How much longer?

I think Wyatt is wondering when this mysterious baby is ever going to arrive. He loves his brother already and always wants to kiss my belly button or "baby"!!!! We got a sneak peak of our little fella last week and got some darling pictures that I'll try to post soon. We've got less than 6 weeks to go before his debut...
Wy guy sporting his big bro shirt in honor of 'ultrasound day' of baby brother.
34 weeks and counting... Can my belly stretch anymore? Little buddy was estimated to be 4.5 lbs so I'm guessing we've still got some more growing to do....

Celebrating 20-Months in Maryland!

It has been quite a week... Daddy flew in to KC on Fri 11/6, we drove to IA on Sat and spent an evening with Grandma and Grandpa, drove on to IN on Sunday and the movers came to load up our house on Monday. It took 3 full days and an entire semi to load us up but we were finally ready to be Maryland bound by Wed night. We made one last visit through every empty room on Phillips Road to say bye-bye then headed out on our adventure. We arrived to our new home on Thurs evening 11/12 and were surprised that the gas had been shut off. So the first 4 days were a little bit rough without hot water or heat and Daddy having to leave town. But we made some new friends rather quickly who let us come take warm showers in their house! It has been a whirlwind but very fun meeting new neighbors and exploring my new house. I have to admit that it has also been very overwhelming trying to sort ourselves through the loads of boxes!
Taking a TV break with Daddy from all of the hard work of packing up our house in Indiana
Mr. muscles helping load up
Wyatt loves trucks so he was in heaven to have his own semi parked at his house for 3 days. The movers were so good to him and let him take several tours within!
An overnight stay in a hotel and a quick dunk in the pool during our trip to Maryland
We've been doing lots of shopping and errand running since we've been in our new house! We try to make all of the excursion fun in some way! : )

Wy's crazy habit of looking for sock fuzz in between his toes!
The view from Wyatt's bedroom window... He loves to watch the geese!

Fun Facts about our 20-month-old WYATT:
  • now says "Daddy" instead of Dada and "Gabbi" instead of Gabs
  • has learned the word "pease" which is beautiful music to Mommy's ears and an irresistible sound that gets Wy just about anything he want these days!
  • has a crazy habit of searching for sock fuzz in between his toes. : )
  • now says "money"... All of the ladies get a kick out of this when we're out shopping.
  • has learned to say his own name. It is so cute to hear him say "Wyatt" very proudly
  • loves mints... Have I mentioned this one before? I find this a rather unique flavor for a one-year-old to crave!
  • says chicken and pig
  • calls all buttons a "But" which is rather humorous to Daddy!
  • Misses 'his' horses in Indiana but has found several new favorite past-times in his new house including watching the geese from his bedroom window in the pond across the street, and watching the school buses pass by each morning and afternoon since we live on the same street as the elementary school!

Arrival Time!

19 days was way too long to be apart from my dad but Mommy and I made the best of it and the time passed rather quickly. I was a very good boy the whole 3 weeks for my mom. I even learned what number to press on Mommy's phone so I could talk to Daddy anytime during the day. Daddy didn't lose any favor in my eyes while away but I think Mommy gained a little... I'm not quite so partial anymore! : ) I was so excited to pick Daddy up from the airport, but due to a flight delay, I just couldn't keep my peepers open in the car. Mom made sure to wake me up for the landing though and then I didn't go to bed until after 11pm because Dad and I had lots of catching up to do!

A Daily (maybe!) Diary for Daddy!

10.28.09 Wyatt was all about reading his Bible today. Here's one final video clip of your buddy before we hit the road tomorrow morning... 10.28.09: Today was a very busy day... We met Tyler and Zoe and their mommy for a walk.... It was a perfect fall morning! Then Mommy and I had a lunch date together at Pizza Hut. I clapped and said MMMmmmmmm!!!!! when I walked in and saw all of the food on the buffet. : ) Then we headed home for my nap and Mommy scurried around to get us packed up. This evening I was excited to get to play with Brock and Carigann while Mommy got her hair done. I will be fast asleep in no time... Can't wait to see you next Friday. Mommy promises to take me to the airport with her. Not sure if Mom will be able to post new pics during our time in KC, but know that I'm thinking of you always and missing you in my heart, Dada!
Zoe, Tyler and Wy guy Wyatt though that 53 degrees felt warm so he decided to do without socks and shoes, then Tyler to off a sock and shoe, and little Zoe got one shoe off. What are we going to do with these children when it's cold???
Mommy didn't snap a picture tonight with Brock and Carigann but here is one from our pizza night last weekend when all of my favorite buddies were together!!! I'm sure gonna miss my friends...
I'm still counting... Only 9 more days!
________________________________________________________ 10.27.09: My buddy Sam came over for one last play date today. He brought me some really thoughtful gifts including a little people dump truck (so cool!), a track from his train set (so I'd always remember playing choo choos at his house), and some very tasty ice cream cone cupcakes (he remembered how much I LOVE cupcakes!). I'm sure gonna miss my friend and his mommy too! After lunch, I slept in the jogger while Mommy got some exercise, then we had to clear out of the house for another showing. Is our house ever gonna sell? We finished off the day with at Panera for some dinner with Olivia. I miss you much, Dada!
Enjoying cupcakes together! Yummy! : )
Hugs for Sam after opening the cool gifts!
You're halfway home--Just 10 more days! ________________________________________________________
10.26.09: I started off the day searching for you... I headed straight for your bedroom then searched the bathroom and was so sad to realize that you weren't home. After breakfast I got a bloody lip from jumping off of your bed while Mommy was getting us ready to go see Claire and her mommy. We had a fun time with them... played with some blocks, went for a walk, ate some lunch... I was sad to see the time end and to have to say goodbye to my friend. : ( Mommy and I made breakfast for dinner tonight. I was so excited to EAT that I could hardly wait to get to the table. I miss you bunches Dada but I'm staying very busy! Love you!

Almost to the halfway mark-- Only 11 more days! _____________________________________________________
10.25.09: The sun was out and it was a beautiful day so we spent lots of time outside! I also tried on my costume for Saturday and cried when Mama finally made me take it off before bed. : ( It's so rough being a little boy sometimes. I'm glad we've already got a week underway--Less than 2 to go! I miss you Dada...

10.24.09: I was a great boy when I was out on the town today--I got to go try all of the yummy treats at Costco this morning during our diaper run and also did some other errands with Mom. Then after I woke up from my nap, I was a wild man! I think Mommy was hoping that 8pm would come faster today! : ) I think I'm just missing the outdoors and my wrestling buddy. Good thing I have a brother coming along shortly so Mom and Gabbi won't be my only entertainment when you're away next time...

10.22.09: Mommy and I had a great day together although it rained from sun up till sun down. We headed out to Michigan City to visit work friends. I was such a good traveler because I got to watch a new movie--Clifford and the New Baby on the Block. Mommy heard me say "Dog" and "Baby" about 300 times during our 2 hours of driving! : ) When we got home I took a long nap then helped Mommy get the house cleaned and put away all of my summer clothes. I had lots of independent time today too and was in a very happy mood which was refreshing for Mama after yesterday! The days are flying by although I really do miss you. I'm your biggest fan, Dada!

_______________________________________________________ 10.21.09 Wy found a snack before bed... 10.21.09 I had a fun morning with Tyler and Zoe in the sunshine, I was very brave and rode the horse at the grocery store, and I helped Mommy make caramel corn for her work friends. Today was also a challenging day... I wanted MY way in everything. But Mommy knows that consistency and discipline build character so she was on me like a hawk, Dad. Here's a picture of feisty me finding a snack right after brushing my teeth. Love you, Dada, all the way to the moon and back...
16 days to go!
________________________________________________________ 10.20.09 Wy's favorite song... e-i-e-i-O! 10.20.09: Today was another beautiful, sunshiny day so we got to spend lots of time outdoors. Guess what? The brown horse came all the way up to the fence and put his nose over for met to pet. This was definitely the highlight of my day! Mommy says that I was a fantastic little boy today. I was very obedient and fun and gave Mommy lots of sweet hugs. I watched your video about 15 times today! Here's a pic of me finishing off the day with my Oreo dippers. Miss you Daddy. Goodnight!

10.19.09: It was a beautiful day outside so we started off with a morning run, then went to Sam's house to play and have lunch, before coming home for a nap. After my nap, Mommy and I took Gabbi for a long walk and also visited the horses! Mommy then convinced me to run some errands with her... Not my favorite thing to do, but I politely agreed to go (and I got a fruit smoothie out of the deal)! We had dinner on the front porch together and finished the evening off by making some rice krispie treats. All in all it was a very good day! Off to bed. Love you Dada!
18 days to go! _________________________________________________________
10.18.09: Mommy and I went shopping tonight for a new winter hat. I tried on LOTS of HATS to find the one that I liked best! No chin straps or ear flaps please! This is the one picked... Isn't it very mature looking? Wouldn't you know that it's supposed to be 61 degrees and sunny tomorrow so I guess my new hat will sit in the closet for a few days until "winter" returns! : ) Good night Dada!
