Celebrating 20-Months in Maryland!

It has been quite a week... Daddy flew in to KC on Fri 11/6, we drove to IA on Sat and spent an evening with Grandma and Grandpa, drove on to IN on Sunday and the movers came to load up our house on Monday. It took 3 full days and an entire semi to load us up but we were finally ready to be Maryland bound by Wed night. We made one last visit through every empty room on Phillips Road to say bye-bye then headed out on our adventure. We arrived to our new home on Thurs evening 11/12 and were surprised that the gas had been shut off. So the first 4 days were a little bit rough without hot water or heat and Daddy having to leave town. But we made some new friends rather quickly who let us come take warm showers in their house! It has been a whirlwind but very fun meeting new neighbors and exploring my new house. I have to admit that it has also been very overwhelming trying to sort ourselves through the loads of boxes!
Taking a TV break with Daddy from all of the hard work of packing up our house in Indiana

Wyatt loves trucks so he was in heaven to have his own semi parked at his house for 3 days. The movers were so good to him and let him take several tours within!
An overnight stay in a hotel and a quick dunk in the pool during our trip to Maryland
We've been doing lots of shopping and errand running since we've been in our new house! We try to make all of the excursion fun in some way! : )
Helping Daddy put up a new light fixture after church.
Wy's crazy habit of looking for sock fuzz in between his toes!
The view from Wyatt's bedroom window... He loves to watch the geese!

Fun Facts about our 20-month-old WYATT:
  • now says "Daddy" instead of Dada and "Gabbi" instead of Gabs
  • has learned the word "pease" which is beautiful music to Mommy's ears and an irresistible sound that gets Wy just about anything he want these days!
  • has a crazy habit of searching for sock fuzz in between his toes. : )
  • now says "money"... All of the ladies get a kick out of this when we're out shopping.
  • has learned to say his own name. It is so cute to hear him say "Wyatt" very proudly
  • loves mints... Have I mentioned this one before? I find this a rather unique flavor for a one-year-old to crave!
  • says chicken and pig
  • calls all buttons a "But" which is rather humorous to Daddy!
  • Misses 'his' horses in Indiana but has found several new favorite past-times in his new house including watching the geese from his bedroom window in the pond across the street, and watching the school buses pass by each morning and afternoon since we live on the same street as the elementary school!
