Meeting Sgt. Lucas!
We were able to see one of Joe's good friends (and his former Police Sergeant) on Saturday afternoon at a basketball game in Rensselaer, IN! Wyatt thought it was very entertaining to sit on Mr. Mike's lap and cheer on the Panthers who won the game! Wy loved all of the noise and action! I'm not so sure that our little man will have the height to play BB but Daddy's hoping he'll be a football player with his husky build! : )
Mike brought Wyatt a very thoughtful keepsake... A 1935 Dollar Bill that was backed in Silver...We'll hold on to this one for a while 'til Wy is a little bigger! Thank you Mike for thinking about our little man!!!! It was great to see you!

Another Visit from Mimi and Poppy!
My dad had a couple of weeks off work...So Poppy and Mimi decided to come spend a week with us! Oh did Mr. Wyatt have FUN! The 3 of them played and played and played! Mommy has her work cut out for her this week...Wy is definitely missing the constant attention from his mimi and poppy! : )
Thanks for EVERYTHING...babysitting on our anniversary, the new toys and darling outfit, for letting me get caught up on my errands, cleaning all the bottles everyday and practically my whole house, getting an oil change in our car, moving furniture, and most of all for the GREAT TIME we had just being together!!!! Wyatt adores you both and can't wait to spend a week with you in March! (And yes, the little man is really crawling now...Right after you left, of course!) We love you two bunches and are missing you already!

Our 5th Anniversary!
January 2nd, 2009 marked a milestone for the McCulleys...5 wonderful years of marriage! My parents came in town yesterday so Joe and I felt very spoiled in getting to go out on a date without having to pay a babysitter! Wyatt was delighted to get some one-on-one time with Mimi and Poppy. Joe and I decided that we are officially getting old (or just boring)...We were home by 9:30pm!!! : )

Ringing in the New Year!
Out with the old and in with the new! I cannot believe that 2008 is over...Where did the year go? I'm missing all of the memories of 2008 already but am excited for what the next year will bring. We had a great time celebrating with lots of friends. Everyone stuck around until 11pm (which was impressive for having so many babies and kiddos!). Lil Wy didn't want to miss the action. He woke up at 11:45pm just in time to bring in the new year with us!
And on New Year's Day, our little man finally LEARNED TO CRAWL!!!!! So now he is constantly on the go and very mobile. Wy already pulled over a candle tree that came crashing down in a million pieces. Wyatt was just fine but it sure left my heart a thumpin'....that was enough to make me realize that I need to baby-proof this house in a hurry!

A Quiet Christmas at Home!
We had a quiet Christmas at home--Just the 3 of us this year! Although the day was wonderful just hanging out and being together, we certainly missed being with extended family...It just didn't quite feel like Christmas without all of the chaos!

Our friends snapped our family Christmas photos this year during a visit to Bass Pro's Winter Wonderland where Wy saw Santa for the first time!
Wyatt hanging out in his PJs after the Christmas Eve Service, opening a package and voice recorded card from Mimi and Poppy! They sent him one of those neat Hallmark cards that records a message...We listened to Mimi and Poppy's message over and over again...I'm sure it's almost worn out!!! : )
Our little drummer boy!
Since the 3 Wise men presented Jesus with 3 gifts (gold, frankincense and myrrh) we decided to set the tradition in our home of giving our children 3 gifts on Christmas too.
This is our attempt to help keep the giving Christ-centered (and to help Mommy and Daddy not go overboard with spending!!! ; )
Wyatt's 3 gifts for 2008:
1. A toy box (This one was for Wy and for Mommy!)
2. Super Why Book and DVD collection
3. His most favorite of all: the Bee Bop drum set!
