3 Years with Laughter!!!!!!

Isaac Owen is THREE!!!!!
Isaac, the meaning of your name is laughter, which you have certainly lived up to.  You bring joy, spunk, life, light, and laughter to every day!  You truly know the meaning of rejoicing and being glad in the day at hand.  You fill this momma's heart with gratitude to God each time I soak in your radiant smile and experience your vibrant, winsome personality and love for life!  You are STRONG, independent, you are a go-getter and a problem solver, mischievous, you love sugar and pop, you rarely complain, you are Mr. go with the flow, assertive, a jokester, you think you are invincible which keeps me on my toes day and night, you are thankful and compassionate (you love babies!), can be pretty aggressive at times too (you certainly hold your own with the big boys), you are very eager to learn and are a quick learner at that, have a hard time winding down at bedtime, don't sit still for long, and you are a precious gift to our family!  Happy Birthday Little Man!

You asked for 3 items for your 3rd birthday:
1. Strawberry sucker
2. 2 balloons
3. Choo Choo Cupcakes
Check, check, check!  Easy peasy!  You were pleased to find all 3 of your requests on the breakfast table in the morning!  When you saw the additional gifts (scooter and new tennis shoes) you said, "Why'd you get me this? (referring to the scooter)"  I said "Because we thought you'd like it!"  Your response,  "I like it soooo much.  I love you sooooo much, Mom"  You've got a very thankful heart that just melts mine!

Could this face be any CUTER?

Your cousins along with Mimi and Poppy joined us at Cosmic Jump to celebrate your big day!  You are a little jumping bean with so much energy to spend so it made you very happy!

We went home to snooze in the afternoon then went to Chuck-E-Cheese for dinner.  You loved the atmosphere and all the fun games but you still weren't sure about that big mouse! :)

 choo choo cupcakes

 Micah enjoyed them too!

Ashtyn and Dax new just what to get you since your two favorite things are airplanes and garbabe trucks!

We got you to blow out a candle at Chuck-e-Cheese but you were too excited to take time to eat the cupcake so it was a late night snack right before bed.
Later on that week, it was a kids-eat-free day at Red Robin so we decided to splurge with one more outing to celebrate your sweet life....

A few of your cute sayings:
-I can't know (when you are trying to say that you don't understand something)
-"Uncle Joe Joe" to Daddy when he's not hearing you say "Daddy"....  Somehow Uncle Joe Joe gets his attention when Daddy does not
-Hold me up (Pick me up)
-What you say? (this one is my favorite!)
-Mommy, I love you even when you don't give me ice cream
-"Daddy, what am I eating?"  Pork Ribs.  "I'm eating a porcupine?!"
-Momma, you are so handsome!
-When you are mad at someone you say, "You are not invited to my birtday"
-Will there be blankies in heaven?
-"Mommy, do you have a digger shirt?"  Me, No.  "Here (taking off the one you were wearing), you can have this one, I'm growing out of it."
-to the waiter at a restaurant as soon as he walks up to take our drink order "My dad has a gun on but it's just our secret!"

Not a cute saying but I have to add that you were the EASIEST kid ever to potty train.  In fact, we did nothing at all, you did it all.by.yourself!!!!  You decided one day about 3 months ago that you were done with diapers and you were done, just.like.that!!!!!  Pee and poop in the potty!!!!!!  So PROUD of you.

We love you to the moon and all the way back, Ikey Bear!!!!!

Micah Jay at 21 Months

Is he cute, or what?  I just love the cheeks and smile on this boy!
 expert climber....

 His favortie beverage, hot chocolate!

Micah is a doer.  Monkey see, monkey do!

One notable new idea for Micah this months is that he thinks EVERYTHING is to be used as hair gel-from paint to the jelly on his toast to cream cheese.  If it smears, then it defintiely must be meant for the hair.  No pictures but it's been quite entertaining (and exhausting to clean out of his hair).

Christmas, 2012

On Thanksgiving day we began decorating for Christmas....
These might go down as my most favorite pictures ever!!!!!  3 boys decorating the Christmas tree in their underwear--Priceless!
Wyatt and I spent Dec 1 at Crown Center celebrating Auntie B's 35th Birthday with lots of buddies!  Isaac and Micah were sick so Joe had to stay back with them.  Boo.  But it was a perfectly beautiful night to be out on the town!!!!!

Isaac and Micah weren't so sure about getting too close to Santa this year.  Wyatt just wanted to take the pic so he could move on to the train stop (his most favorite store at the mall!)!

Christmas concert at Harvest!
Constructing, decorating, and eating a gingerbread house!
Concentration.

The finished product!
Every night finishes with some wrestling!
The weekend before Christmas we went to IA to celebrate with the McCulley clan.  Here's Grandma and Papa with all of their grands.
It was a perfect weekend for sledding
Wyatt's got the snowboard-cool-dude look going on here.
Isaac took a roll and wasn't too happy about being cold and wet!
One of my  favorite memories of this Christmas actually happened about 3 weeks prior.  Wyatt had $18 in his money jar so he agreed to split it two ways for he and Isaac to buy gifts for one another.  So we loaded up and headed to Walmart--the best place to stretch the dollar, you know. Joe took Wyatt to pick a gift for Isaac and I took Isaac and Micah to pick a gift for Wyatt.  Guess what they both purchased?  GUNS, of course and GUM!  They kept it a secret until Christmas Eve morning when they finally got to exchange......  they were more excited to GIVE the gift they had picked out for their brother than to receive.  It was absolutely precious!!!!!!!!!
We went to the Christmas Eve service at our church then met Mimi and Poppy at Applebee's for dinner!  On Christmas morning, we ate a yummy breakfast then Daddy read the Christmas story to our boys....
We talked about the GIFT of Jesus and the reasons for the presents under the tree....
and we began to tear into some gifts!  Here's Wyatt  Spiderman.
Micah got some new playdough which made him the happiest little boy alive!
Then we waited for the rest of the crew to join us for lunch and gift giving!
We had a fabulous day and topped it off with a birthday cake for Jesus!!!!!

Merry Christmas!
