Almost TWO!

Yep, Wy guy is now 23-months-old and will soon be a big TW O-year-old. I think this will be the turning point where Mommy will have to stop counting monthly birthdays. : ( How did my baby grow up so fast? I sure do miss my baby boy but I love the little man he is today even more!!!!
Such a HAM

Can Mommy ever get a 'normal' smile???
Wyatt loves to build... We make lots of forts in his closet!
This is Wy's favorite outfit--He'd wear it every day if I let him! ROAR! Loves to vacuum!

Fun Facts About Our 23-Month-Old:
WYATT...
  • is full of PERSONALITY these days and loves to be silly and make us LAUGH!
  • is quite a STORY TELLER... This little boy does not forget a detail and has such and IMAGINATION.
  • loves to SHARE his snacks... If Wy gets a snack then Mommy or Daddy must also. (This has not been a very good thing for my post-pregnancy weight loss plan! :)
  • loves to put in HAIR GEL to look like Daddy... He has to stand on the vanity to watch the transformation.
  • loves play-doh ("pee-doh") right now and coloring
  • like to watch himself make faces in the mirror while attempting to brush his teeth before bed... this is one of my favorite times of the day b/c Wyatt makes me laugh so hard!
  • now says Mommy instead of Mama and Thanks instead of Thank you.
  • still love to vacuum. This makes my task twice as long as it should be because Wyatt and I have to take turns... He is definitley my helper.
  • directs us to "sit" with a point exactly where he wants us to be. And if you stand, you will get firm orders to "sit" again... and he just might close the door to lock you in the room!
  • slept in his big boy bed for the very first time and slept for 2.5 hours during naptime. We've still got work to do but at least Wyatt is now showing interest in the big bed.
  • can draw a (jagged!) CIRCLE and counts to TWO!
  • has been working on his colors but shows very little interest... At least Daddy knows that Wyatt won't be a fashion designer or decorator!!! : )
  • is the BEST big brother! He has been such a natural in his new role and is very affectionate towards Isaac.
  • says that he and Mommy are "buddies". Oh, I love this little boy!
  • is now praying for his family... If Daddy is praying then Wyatt reminds him to pray for Mommy and Baby. I love his sweet little heart!
  • For the first couple weeks after Isaac was born we explained to Wyatt that I couldn't pick him up b/c I had a boo boo... Now he says "Cut... Baby... Boo Boo". He understand the c-section process pretty well, I'd say! ; )
  • is overall in such a fun stage... I just wish I got more time with each of my 3 boys!

My 3 Sweethearts!

I am one very lucky lady... My heart is crazily in love with the 3 most charming, blue-eyed boys!
Mama's little heartbreakers... Rock Star! Wyatt tucking away his "free donut" Valentine Wy guy's many poses...

One-Month with Laughter!

Isaac is filling our home with lots of LAUGTHER...

...and SMILES!

It is already hard to remember life prior to Isaac Owen. We are loving life as a family of FOUR! Today was actually my very first day since Isaac's birth of flying solo at home with both boys. The reality is sinking in that I'm now a mom of TWO and will proAdd Imagebably never have another free moment to myself again : ) but I'm loving every minute of the adventure and there's no place I'd rather be!!!! My boys certainly are precious gifts and my heart is overflowing with gratefulness to the Lord for his Goodness and this great reward of getting to be a Mommy!!!!

Isaac rolled over from his tummy to his back in the hospital and I thought it was just a fluke, but he's been doing it ever since we came home. There is not leaving this little man anywhere because he just might not be there when you return!

Such good BUDDIES!

Sitting so BIG!

Being a BOY MOM rocks!

Fun Facts About Our 1-Month-Old: ISAAC...
  • is such a CONTENT and HAPPY little fella... But he's sure to let us know when he's hungry, poopy or gassy!
  • is a GRUNTER to the max... If his grunting is any indication of what his verbal skills are going to be like, then Isaac is going to be a chatter box!
  • does not spit up... No need for burp cloths in this house which makes for one happy mama. : )
  • sleeps in about 4-hour stretches at night, waking Mommy up twice most nights.
  • eats every 2-2.5 hours during the day... luckily Ike is a very quick eater because I've got a busy two-year old who doesn't take a break when it's time to feed lil bro!
  • is a pooping machine... I never knew one baby could go through so many DIAPERS... We've definitley had to increase the budget in this area!
  • makes a darling "O" face with his lips like he's whistling when he's pooping.
  • is very STRONG! The doc thinks Isaac is going to be a very early crawler becuase he's already got the motion down to MOVE on all fours!
  • doesn't like the pacifier... I guess it's one habit we won't have to break later!
  • is a pro with the bottle. Hooray! Mommy's got a bit of freedom...
  • his hair is getting blonder and his eyes are getting bluer!
  • is very independent during the day but once 8 O'clock hits and big bro is in bed then Isaac says, "Now it's my turn for attention!". So, it's nice getting some independent time with each of my boys but does make for long and exhausting days!!!!!

AFV reruns!

Wyatt has gotten quite a kick out of America's Funniest Video reruns while we've been stuck in the house with over 3 feet of snow. He thinks we are on a permanent vacation with Daddy being home the past (now) 5 weeks!

Snowed in for the Super Bowl...

Wyatt having fun playing in 29 inches of snow!
(I should have dressed him in orange becuase he easily could have been lost in a snow mound!)

Pumped for Super Bowl Sunday

We got a record snowfall in MD this weekend of over 29inches. It's absolutely beautiful to look at and play in but makes it pretty much impossible to get out! SOooo we are literally SNOWED IN! We've ejoyed a couple of fun-filled snow days at home and hanging out with the neighbors to keep from getting cabin fever! Wyatt LOVES the snow... Joe and I have had to take shifts in playing with him because once he's out he doesnt' want to come in! All the Super Bowl festivities were cancelled, to say the least, so we got to watch it togetheras a fam at home. It's one we'll probably always remember...

The view from our front porch

The BIG snow fort on our deck!

Who says you can't have fun when you're stuck at home!

Papa and Grandma McCulley

Papa and "Gamma" came out to MD to meet their new grandson, Isaac, and to spend time with us in our new home. We had such a great five days together, even though we hardly left the house! Wyatt was in heaven to have full-time attention for 5 straight days! He told Papa and Grandma lots of stories, got them to play choo choos, draw on the chalk board and tackle. He got lots of snacks including popcorn (a first for Wy) and pistachios (glad Grandpa 'accidentally' tried out this food that we were afraid Wy might be allergic to! : ), read lots of books, did some cooking, etc. Grandma and Papa followed Wyatt's instructions very well which made him one happy camper (Wyatt gives firm orders to "sit" with a point in exactly the spot he wants you!). Wy guy got some good one-on-one time with his Papa each morning... Papa graciously got Wyatt out of bed and played with him in the mornings while Daddy, Mommy and Isaac got a little extra rest. Wyatt still hollars occasionally from the top of the bannister for "Papa!" or "Gamma!" then realizes that they aren't here and went "up up" on the airplane back to Iowa.

Helping Grandma make some baked potato soup

I love this photo... Grandpa was praying with Wyatt before bedtime.
Daddy and Papa took Wyatt for his first sledding adventure!
Ahhhh... Aren't these such sweet pictures of Grandma and Isaac?
Wyatt enjoying a new found favorite snack!
Thanks for all of the fun memories and for loving our boys so much. It was a blessing to have you here. We miss you two and look forward to seeing you again in April...

Baby YIKE!

The name Isaac has been a tongue twister for Wyatt to say--it comes out of Wy's mouth sounding like "yogurt", so we've been working on saying "Ike" for short, which Wy guy pronounces as "Yike"... So we've got a BABY YIKE for now! : )
