House-Hunting Adventure in DC...

We left for DC on Aug 2nd for a 10-day house hunting trip. My mom graciously made the trip as well to watch Wy guy and give us freedom to explore the area. Thanks Mom for being so flexible...We owe you BIG for this one!!! : ) It was a crazy and stressful few days but we got some time to play as well. We made a trip to Annapolis, National Zoo, ate at lots of yummy restaurants, and also got time with our extended family out that way. We didn't come home with definite success, but we do have a contract pending on a home that we absolutely adore. So we're waiting on a few contingencies and to see how the Lord's plan unfolds for this next season of life... Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

Daddy's 31st Birthday!

Joe and Wyatt blowing out the lonely birthday candle!
Jojo turned 31 today! I keep reminding him that when we finish our time in DC he'll be nearly 40. Is this possible??? I'm glad he's got a couple of years on me so he can hit all of the milestones first! Joe had to work today which put a damper on our plans for the beach...But it was also cool and rainy so I guess the beach was not meant to be on the birthday agenda this year.

Loving the balloons

16-Months-Old Already!

Our 16-mo-old showing off his 11 pearly whites!
This is the "Uh-Oh" face! We're moving! I think Wyatt has attracted a few showings for us.... Wy likes to scare mom every once in a while and attempt the stairs forward on his feet instead of on his bum. Ugh!
The very best buddies...
Wy is such a cuddle bug when he wakes up!
I think we're growing out of the highchair...Wyatt now likes to sit at the table like a big boy!
I offered him a bite of my yogurt and he ate the whole thing proudly Wyatt now uses his utensils very proficiently! Wyatt still LOVES to read! Talking to da-da Dragging around train of foil : /
A popsicle in each hand just in case...

Celebrating the 4th with Mimi and Poppy!

Mimi and Poppy came to celebrate the 4th of July with us and to help with several home projects before our move. We loved every minute of our time together and, of course, Wyatt got super spoiled with attention as usual! : )

First Try at Time-OUT!

We attempted to put Wyatt in time-out today for the very first time. I don't think he quite realized it was supposed to be punishment for not listening... Our little monkey thought the chair was just something new to climb on. But he didn't take one foot off the whole time! So we'll keep working...

Fun in the Sun!

Our sweet friends invited us to their parents' lake house and took us on a boat tour of the lake. Wyatt got to go TUBING and LOVED it. I thought he was going to be afraid, but he actually cried when we made him get back on the boat. : ( Mommy was jealous that her boys got to go... One thing you just can't do when you're pregnant is tubing in the lake!!!
Watching Daddy go tubing and hoping he gets a turn...
Wyatt's turn!!!!
