Mimi and Poppy came to visti!

My mom flew into Chicago last Sunday evening to spend the week with Wyatt and me during Joe's final stretch away from home. Wyatt was SO excited to see his mimi...He beamed from ear to ear as soon as he saw her!!!! Thanks for making the trip, Mom. We loved every minute of our time with you!
Wyatt was on cloud 9 each morning when we walked down the stairs to find out that Mimi was still here with us! It was very entertaining for Wy to play with all of Mimi's colorful jewelry... Surprisingly, he didn't even break one strand of beads the whole week!!!! :)
Wyatt and Mimi read lots of stories (his new favorite is A Rumble in the Jungle that Mimi brought to him!), played, went for walks, sang, rocked. Mimi played so hard with Wy that she wore him out and he took really long naps while she was here!
Joe spoiled us by arranging a little stay for us in Chicago. Wyatt was a very impressive shopper...He got cozy warm in his stroller and slept ALL day while we shopped. But, you know what that means...Yep, he was raring to go that night. This is a pic of the spunky little man bright eyed and full of energy, still playing at midnight...I finally forced him to turn in at 1am!!!!
Mimi brought me a new hoarsy coat...Daddy thinks I look extra chubby in this pic!!! : )
My dad drove all the way from KC after work on Thursday to spend 2 days with us before hitting the road again on Sunday. Thanks Dad for driving all that way to see us! Wyatt had a great time with Poppy... He sure thinks his poppy is funny! : )
Poppy, Wyatt, and Gabbi were good snuggle buddies!
One last pic with Mimi and Poppy before they took off!
The house sure seems quiet now... Wyatt is going to be a sad boy when he wakes up from his nap to find that you all went bye-bye back to Kansas. : ( Thanks so much for coming to see us. We love you and miss you already. I read a quote that said, "The only thing better than having you for parents is having you be my child's grandparents" Very true! Thanks for all of the precious moments and fun memories. We'll cherish them forever! We love you "to the moon and back" (as Mimi would say!), Bel and Super Wy
Mimi let Wyatt drink from her cup this week...Now he thinks he's big stuff and wants nothing to do with the sippy!!!!!! Here's a short clip...
